Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-25.

The Smolfolk app collects no data. This website stores only what you send through its "Join the list" form.

The app

The app has no accounts, analytics or tracking, and it does not connect to the internet, with one exception: the version downloaded from this website checks GitHub about once a day for a newer version. That check sends no personal data. The Mac App Store version never connects at all.

Your preferences

Your settings, such as pet, size and energy, are stored only on your Mac.

What the app can see

Smolfolk does not read your screen or your keyboard. It only uses the cursor position so the pets can react to it.

This website

The site uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. If you fill in the "Join the list" form, we store what you send: your email address if you give one, the smolfolk you picked and your idea. We use your email only to tell you when Smolfolk reaches the Mac App Store and about new smolfolk, and we use the picks and ideas to decide what to build next. We never sell or share any of it. It is kept in a database hosted by Railway, and our hosting provider keeps standard request logs for a short time.

To have your details deleted, or to stop hearing from us, email us and we will remove them.
